DOWNTOWN SCHOOLS

RESTAURANTS
Vin de Syrah: This place looks as if you fell down Alice's hole. . . superb wine selection at reasonable prices in a very whimsical little hideout
Island Prime/C Level: The view from these restaurants is spectacular - C Level is the more casual dining and Island Prime is rather upscale. The food has an islander influence and is always deliciously different
The Field: When you're looking for a bar with a welcoming atmosphere and live music at times, this place certainly fits the bill
Fillippi's: Don't forget about Little Italy! Fillippi's may have a slight wait, but the food is totally authentic and I have yet to find a better meatball in all of San Diego
Tin Fish: Large portions of seafood for a reasonable price in a casual setting in the heart of the Gaslamp
Hard Rock Cafe: Hip, new and always something going on, the Hard Rock Hotel/Restaurant certainly caters to the music enthusiast
Croce's: For those who love live jazz and fine dining, this is right in the middle of the Gaslamp on 5th
The Neighborhood: Yes, that is Jesus eating a hamburger. No, the place is not religious. The Neighborhood in itself is a pretty awesome hangout, but the best part is the SECRET bar past the bathrooms. It's called The Noble Experiment, and you have to text your reservations. Very elitist, but I still think it's pretty cool. . . .
TRANSPORTATION
Yellow Cab Company: If you're cabbing it in Downtown San Diego. . . .
